When do you stop?
When do you stop hurting yourself or doing something that doesn’t serve you anymore?
You may have said to yourself “I’m done with this, enough is enough, I need some change…” But when do you say that? That’s the point of today’s blog my dear friend. You’ll learn how to cut something off from your life and become a better version of yourself.
I feel you, I hear you because I have been there! The experience where you get hurt and are not ready to cut it off from your life… You know that if you keep that thing or a person in your life, it’ll hurt you more, it’ll only get worse, not better. However, in reality, the scenario is completely different!
If you like to discover more about yourself if you like to experience different things if you like to POP the BUBBLES in your life. Coming back to the point, in the situation you’re in if you want to pop your bubble, you challenge yourself and try different things. So, you want to see if things get better, you want to discover the new feeling of how it could be… Unfortunately, sometimes you keep getting hurt, feel weaker and even drained by the event’s energy. The event is your experience, and it can be about a relationship with a person or with a place. Place sounds different to you, right? You might have not realized this, but yes, you can have a relationship with a place as well as a person. And, one day you feel like you need to break up with that.
Let me tell you when you feel you need to end the event completely in your life!
I will explain this by dividing it into 3 parts of YOU: (Mind, Body, and Soul)
MIND Alerts: When you feel demotivated, lack focus on your work, are angry, or stressed without any specific reason…
BODY Alerts: When you feel you are getting weaker, you cannot eat or eat more without being hungry. Imagine that you’re holding your body up with your arms, like a pull-up position, or any kind of psychical activity you’re doing, there will be a moment when you give everything that you could but you cannot hold it any longer, there is nothing left from your power…
SOUL Alerts: When you feel stuck, something in your chest hurts a lot that you can’t even explain what it is. It doesn’t feel right to you even though you don’t know the exact reason but just a huge feeling coming from inside you!
Basically, you want to run and cry and get rid of what it is inside of your soul, but you just cannot…
So, that’s WHEN you decide to CHANGE and say “I’m done.” You’ll take control of your life and do what is best for you; a decision you make is good for your mind, body, and soul. And, please remember that’s not being selfish but taking care of YOU!
Is it easy?
Because it is comfortable to stay in the bubble. You are in a safe place; it is familiar to you. Different is mostly scary at the beginning and you avoid to change. But you CAN change; you can POP YOUR BUBBLE!
Let’s get into it with an example, shall we?
Example from my life: “I used to be a Human Resources Specialist in Turkey. I had been working in corporate life for almost 3 years until I felt like I needed to change! That was a moment in 2015 where I felt stuck. the work I was doing wasn’t enough for me to grow, I couldn’t use my creativity, I wanted to make an impact in people’s lives, I want to spread happiness to the world. Long story short, I didn’t enJOY my life! Something was missing… I wasn’t doing any exercises, eating a lot of sugar, not loving myself, and my life was not exciting! Imagine everything is the same; you have a full-time job, go to the same places, hang out with the same people, no outdoor activities, and you don’t really know who you are anymore! I wanted to explore more about what’s going on in the world and most importantly, I wanted to discover what’s going on in ME! My soul was screaming for a change. I quit my job and followed my soul which was only 3 years ago… I not only change my career but also the country!
How does it feel at the beginning?
It is weird. It’s adventurous and scary. However, I have been the best version of myself since the beginning! I am never regretful about this transformation. Because now, I’m living my dreams and spreading JOYY to the world I live my life in a very adventurous way. I pop my bubbles; I push myself every single day by trying different things…
It’s funny, most people in Turkey started thinking that I’m an athlete or a personal trainer because I work out every day at 5:30 am in the morning! First of all, I am not a personal trainer (not yet, maybe I will) but I’m a person who loves to push herself and become a better person each day. Working out is the second thing that I do in the morning and it’s the most powerful thing you can do to start your day! And, I used to be a very impatient girl – I wanted to know everything, I wanted to catch everything quickly. However, now I do meditation and am working on me more than everything. The first thing is ME when I start my day; I take care of ME then the day continues. I highly recommend this to you, to put yourself first in your life that would be the best thing you’ve ever done for yourself if you haven’t been doing this already.
Change is tough but it is an amazing and JOYful journey.
